The world's most recognised hospitality management qualification is made up of twelve course units. Each unit has a course book, class project, test assignments, and video supplements. Each unit is assessed by grading your project assignment and by a final multiple-choice exam of 100 questions. You are awarded a certificate for each unit that you pass. Your diploma is awarded when you have completed twelve units, - there is no final diploma exam. Many colleges and universities accredit the course and in the UK and USA you can earn one years credit towards a BA Honours Degree in Hospitality Management with this diploma.
Students may join the AHLA/HND upgrade course if they want to join a Work Experience Placement after completing the American Hotel & Lodging Association Diploma and after that year you can transfer with two years credit to our BA Honours Degree programme. The choice is yours.
You may begin a diploma course at the start of any unit and continue through 12 units, either taking one unit per month or two. (We suggest that you take one course at first until you establish if you can manage two.)
