AHLA/HND conversion course

 Students who complete the AHLA Diploma may wish to gain a one year work experience in a UK hotel and to do this they have to “upgrade” their qualification to a Higher National Diploma. This will take a minimum of six months and the student must complete all of the coursework required by Edexcel (the awarding organisation) The courses the AHLA students study are broadly the same as the HND but the asessment system is very different as the AHLA has exams and the HND has assignments. Students who wish to take this path of study have therefore to write the course assignments to satisfy the award criteria for the HND course by rejoining the subject classes and preparing the course assignments. Students will only be permitted to do this if LHS considers their English level to be of an acceptable standard
