Working Rules Changes

Currently immigration and working permissions are changing and there are two main changes non European LHS students should be aware of:

At the end of the Higher National Diploma course if the student still has enough time left on their student visa they are now permitted to continue to work at the employing hotel for a maximum of four months at the end of their course. To do this students MUST have completed all assignments and the school must have claimed a HND award and also the school must prepare a letter for the employing hotel to cover this period.  

After completing a BA Degree students will now be able to continue to work in the UK for any employer for a maximum of two years

Work Placements Congratuations to Sirilak Chutivetku from Thailand who started at Clardiges this month


Visit: Professors and Lecturers from Rajamangala University in Bangkok visited London Hotel School on the 30th April and had a presentation about the school and the UK Academic system. Principal Rod Hardingham has been invited to make a reciprocal visit.


Student Yun Hee Jeong from Korea who is on her work placment at the Savoy hotel in Sharm El Sheikh Egypt won the award of the best trainee in 2007. Congratualtions and well done Yun Hee!
Prepartions are well underway for a trip to Alton Towers by the student union. in May, So far over 25 students plan to go to the UKs biggest funfare theme park.
