Visa Matters
All London Hotel School students from outside the European Union need a student visa. You should apply at your nearest British Embassy at least one month before you want to join the school. The embassy will want to see your passport, offer and visa letters from London Hotel School and your bank statements to confirm you have enough money to supprt yourself in the UK. They will also want to confirm that your English is good enough to join the LHS courses (IELTS 5.5+)
The advantages of having a student visa are that you are able to work for up to twenty hours per week while you study which will allow you to get some experience in the hotel business and earn some money; and also that you will be entitled to free medical care while you are in the UK.
