CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

Please read the following rules and regulations:

  • Students are required to attend 80% or more of their classes
  • Holders of student visas are advised that a minimum of 15 hours attendance a week is required.
  • All fees due must be paid before students will be admitted to any class.
  • Enrolment on a course together with payment of the deposit or fees creates a binding agreement.
  • The Board of Management reserves the right to expel a student for disruptive behaviour or for failing to meet the course requirements. Fees will not be refunded in these cases.
  • Cancellations must be made in writing
  • Overseas students must comply with the rules and regulations of immigration as detailed by the Home Office.
  • Work placements are subject to the availability of host hotels and the acceptance of the student by the hotel. London Hotel School will assist with job placement.
  • Students are expected to comply completely with the rules and regulations of any host hotel in which they are working for their work placement.
  • London Hotel School operates a no smoking and no chewing gum policy. All students are required to comply with this rule.
  • If an applicant is discovered to have used false or forged qualifications to apply to LHS, any payment they have made in advance will NOT be refunded.
  • Students who do not attend their course without notifying LHS for 10 days will be reported to the Borders and Immigration Agency as missing.
  • London Hotel School can accept no liability or responsibility for the disruption or termination of courses due to changes in UK Government Legislation.

Fees and the application process:

Only the visa letter which is an official and unconditional offer of a place on a course of study at an acceptable level from an approved education provider will make you eligible for applying the UK Visa.  The visa letter must be also issued no more than six months before you apply.

As an adult student, you must have:

30 points for a visa letter

10 points for having enough money (also known as maintenance or funds) for your course fees and living costs this means you need to show the first years fees and at least £5,400 for living expenses. Non EU students are not permitted to work while they are studying (apart from on your paid work placement during your course). .  You must submit proof of your availability of money (not a loan promise)  which shows that the funds and more have been in your bank account for a MINIMUM of 28 days before you submit it to the Visa office. If you drop below that sum even for one day you will be refused a visa.

You will only get the points if our approved education provider has met all the requirements of the immigration rules when they issue your visa letter, and all the documents listed in the visa letter are sent with your application
